Ross Can and He Does – Every Week!!!
The People Can initiative gives us an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of volunteers who selflessly offer their support and time to others in the community.
Ross Hall is a highly valued volunteer at the Youth Service’s Bingley Inclusion Project where he supports young people to access a range of activities and shares his music skills and cookery skills with young people on a weekly basis. Ross originally started to attend Bingley Youth Inclusion Project to develop his social skills and have support in managing his autism.
As well as spending 3 hours every Monday supporting other young people, Ross has also helped out with a trip to the seaside and an overnight residential at Blackhills where he cooked for 30 people.
As a result of his volunteering, Ross has completed his Lord Mayor’s Award and is currently looking forward to attaining a further accreditation. Ross is also undertaking an apprenticeship to become a chef and many who have sampled his cuisine have said that Jamie Oliver may have met his match!!
Well done to Ross who is an example to all of how People Can!
