Carnegie Library – People Can Brighten Up a Derelict Building

Local residents who are part of community groups at Windhill Community Centre have been responding to concerns about the state of the Carnegie Library by painting murals to cover the windows of the property.

Large paintings have over the past few months been created and stored then placed by the owners maintenance team who have cleared the forest adorning the building at the same time.

An official hand over of the art work will take place at 11am on Friday 9th September outside the Library involving community members responsible for the murals and Jeff Bennett the Community Development Worker, a representative of Carlton Care will also be present.

For further information please contact Jeff Bennett at Windhill Community Centre on 01274 588831
